"3 Idiots" tickets booked up till next week in Singapore!

21 Nov – T'was the Christmas weekend just gone, where sci-fi blockbuster "Avatar" still remained a crowd favourite at the Malaysia and Singapore box office despite challenges from other Christmas openings like "Sherlock Holmes" and "Alvin And The Chipmunks 2: The Squeakquel". In North America, James Cameron's 3-D adventure outgrossed all movies for second week straight, collecting US$75 million and edging out "Sherlock Holmes", which raked in US$65.4 million, according to early estimates from online tracker Box Office Mojo.

Meanwhile, Rajkumar Hirani's Christmas comedy "3 Idiots" registered full house with three halls per show over the weekend at TGV CapSquare. The film successfully marked as the best movie opening ever at TGV CapSquare since the cinema debuted on 20 December 2007, according to cinema manager Jeya Ganesh. Moreover, film distributor Antenna Entertainments have said that the response in Singapore has been overwhelming, with tickets booked up till next week. Deemed as the last Hindi movie of the year, the film stars Sharman Joshi, Aamir Khan, and Madhavan.
