1 Apr – British actor and dialect coach Andrew Jack was reported to have passed away due to complications from coronavirus.

The late actor was best known for his role as Caluan Ematt in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and "Star Wars: The Last Jedi". He also played Moloch in "Solo: A Star Wars", which was his last big screen appearance, and doubled as the dialect coach for the movie.

Director Phil Lord has taken to Twitter to post his tribute to the late actor, "Andrew was so welcoming - the way so many Star Wars crewmembers were- he loved sharing his love for these stories and was generous and supportive with his expertise. A welcome presence and always a breath of fresh joyous air on set. We'll miss you, rebel."

Lord posted this as he retweeted fellow director Christopher Miller's tribute, "Andrew Jack was the dialect coach on SOLO, and a kind and thoughtful man. We asked him to teach Alden to speak Shyriiwook, and I'll always remember listening to them gargle-roar at each other back and forth. RIP"

The late actor's most recent work was as the dialect coach for "The Batman".

Director Matt Reeves also paid his tribute by tweeting, "Andrew was a legend, and such a kind man. We are all absolutely heartbroken. Our hearts go out to his family. Rest in peace, Andrew..."

As a dialect coach, he had worked on more than 80 movies since the 1980s. Another major franchise he worked on was the 'Lord of the Rings" movie trilogy, for which he created the Middle-earth accents.

He was 76.
