Man-su's world shatters when he is abruptly laid off by his longtime employer. He vows to find another job within three months for the sake of his family. Despite his resolve, he works a dead-end job for over a year while bouncing from one job interview to another, all while in danger of losing his hard-earned home. Desperate, he seeks out Moon Paper, a rival company, and submits his resume, only to be humiliated by the foreman. Convinced that he is the perfect fit for the position, Man-su makes a decision to eliminate his competition.
